DRAGON CHICKEN

Serve 4-5 persons

INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN MARINATION

  • 500g Chicken cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp White pepper
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce

INGREDIENTS FOR SAUCE

  • 1/4 cup Chili oil
  • 1 tbsp Garlic (grated)
  • 6 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Capsicum (red)
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1/3 cup Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 pinch Food color (orange)
  • Oil for frying
  • Green onion for garnish

RECIPE

  1. In a bowl add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, white pepper, corn flour, flour, egg, sriracha sauce and mix it well.
  2. Marinate chicken cubes in it for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. Deep fry marinated chicken cubes until golden brown and set aside.
  4. In a wok add one tablespoon of chili oil and sauté bell pepper at high flame and set aside.
  5. In the same wok fry garlic until brown.
  6. Add chili powder, stir a bit and add one cup of water.
  7. When water starts to boil add the remaining ingredients for the sauce and let it cool for 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Now add fried chicken and bell pepper to the sauce and mix it well.
  9. Top with sesame seeds, green onions and serve.
