MUTTON PULAO

Serve 5 persons

INGREDIENTS

  • 700g Mutton with Nali
  • 700g Rice
  • 1 & 1/2 cup Onion (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Whole spices
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 4 Green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp Coriander (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Mint (chopped)

RECIPE

  1. In a pot add six cups of water, mutton and boil a bit. Remove the scum.
  2. Then add salt, half cup onion, garlic cloves and cook until tender.
  3. Separate the meat and set stock aside for later use.
  4. In a separate pot heat oil, add one cup onion, whole spices, ginger garlic paste and cook until light brown.
  5. Add mutton, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder and red chili powder.
  6. Then add green chilies, tomatoes, yogurt, coriander leaves, mint leaves and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add mutton stock and cook for 2 more minutes.
  8. Add socked rice and cook on medium low flame.
  9. When water is soaked sprinkle garam masala powder, cover it and let it simmer on low flame for 12 to 15 minutes.
  10. Your biryani is ready to serve.
